Transformers for High-Power Charging and Industry
A transformer converts incoming medium-voltage supply to the low-voltage level equipment can actually use. As charging power rises, this step becomes unavoidable: a site running several DC fast chargers draws far more than a standard low-voltage connection can deliver, so power is taken at medium voltage and transformed on site.
DHES manufactures ten transformer types covering the common deployment scenarios. Dry-type and cast resin units suit indoor rooms, basements and locations where fire load matters. Oil-immersed and pad-mounted units suit outdoor installation and higher ratings. Compact substation transformers combine transformer, switchgear and distribution in a single weatherproof housing — a practical choice where space is limited or a full substation building is not viable.
